Ken, blah, blah, blah. Where is NT's terabit router? How much did NT spend on the 1200 pound gorilla over at Avici? How much time, $$ and effort was expended on the Versalar? Since LU is now shipping a 10G product, how did they miss the market (you seem to be confused...they missed 1 quarter)? The HW at Nexabit is excellent. the problem is that SW is critical in this type of box. what is NT's answer to this? Bay, the very company that CSCO kicked around the block for 5 years.

The quarterly report was fine since LU warned that the issue would take more than 1 quarter to fix. They showed in the last quarter that they are well on the way.

a billion dollars in stock, written off over time is not a big deal for a company the size of LU. CSCO has had a few of those over time and it has obviously not hurt them in their complete dominance over the likes of NT in the enterprise. at least with LU, it can be said that they were new to the game and were making a feeble attempt at data in the enterprise starting just a couple of years ago. What is NT's excuse? Poor execution? Did Roth not foresee that CSCO was kicking his butt?

Your NT cheerleading is tiresome here.
