I just read the Merrill Lynch analysis of EMC, and it was extremely positive, stating that storage will grow enormously. ML recommends both EMC and NTAP, and wrote that EMC will dominate for the next 3 yrs, but that SAN will be competitive after that. Obviously, EMC is also aware of this and will be addressing this issue. (I don't know how to copy Acrobat, or I'd post the whole report) There was an issue of whether servers and storage should be integrated, but the report was highly positive for the next 3 yrs. fred
