Samsung has recently stated unequivocally that they will convert other DRAM lines over to RDRAM production preferentially if shortages develop.

Thus, if Willy goes on a fast ramp Samsung will cannibalize the SDR and any DDR lines in favor of RDRAM. All these lines are competing for the same production resources.

I am showing about 120M RDRAM chips but my estimates are as yet incomplete because I do not have data on all the producers. This does not include the controller chips.

:)
