Yes..... If people just focused on PE both stocks would rocket <gg>.

I didn't buy any AFCI but I did look at it and am somewhat interested. A fibre stock with a PE of 14!! Of course their CSCO holdings didn't hurt any <g>.

ALSC and AFCI look like two companies with a knack for good investing. Now, how are they at their businesses? ALSC seems to be improving, AFCI I can't give a good opinion.

With ALSC, you've got to consider their big tax liability if they sell their investments.

Actually, ALSC has already made provision for taxes on the UMC shares (and I believe on their other investments). Since those tax provisions were based on pretty high stock valuations for UMC shares, there wouldn't be much tax liability (if any) when the shares were sold.

Of course, this could change if the portfolio holdings see major appreciation from here, but that's a happy predicament to worry about.
