Here is my latest update of the COMS/PALM disparity index. We hit an all time low last Thursday. It should now be getting closer and closer to zero as we approach D-day.

SharpBlond:

20 vs 25 sounds like a contradiction, but it's not really. PALM appears to be holding this 25 level OK, if it does, we move up on both PALM and COMS from here. But while I feel that the arb shorting has been pushed as far as it can go, I also feel there may still be people holding PALM willing to sell to put the money into COMS, which could push PALM lower, maybe as low as 20. OTOH, most PALM holders so inclined would probably already have switched (IMO).

I guess I'm saying that while I feel 25 is the bottom, I'm not going to be surprised if I'm wrong and PALM sinks further due to the two selling pressures.

I agree with you that any present holders of COMS who are just here to get PALM are unlikely to be sellers of PALM at this 25 level (certainly not me). Break even point on PALM for a lot of COMS holders has to be up in the 40 range or so.

This is likely to be as interesting an experience as the IPO run up was, just not as predictable!
