Suppose we could accept what you say ... then why are folks spending like they all have made zillions of $$s in the market when that is clearly not the case recently for J6P ...isn't super easy credit the method they choose

what do you want AG to do? Lower rates and make it still easier to borrow -- getting the little guy a little more underwater?

I think folks continue to spend because they see the market as a no-lose proposition. An expansion continuing based on that proposition is one we can do without -- since it is as fragile as the same perception.

And how much control does AG really have over rates anyway? He raises Fed Funds -- the overnight rate charged to banks, right?
