Gst, have you heard of George Gilder?
Forget Meeker, Abbey J Cohen...Gilder is the shaker and the mover in tech land.
Btw
Gilder buys stock in the companies, just before he recommends them.

>Santa Clara, California, May 12 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of Terayon Communication Systems Inc., Agilent Technologies Inc. and other makers of fast-network equipment rose after George Gilder's Technology Report highlighted growth prospects.

Terayon and Agilent shares each gained 17 percent. Gilder said Terayon, which make equipment for cable modems, could benefit from the expected surge in demand for the devices. Guilder couldn't be reached to comment further.

Shares of Agilent and rival manufacturers of equipment for fiber-optic networks, which use light to send data at high speeds, also rose. Cable modems let personal computers connect to the Internet over cable-television lines at speeds up to several hundred times faster than using a standard phone line.

Shares of Agilent, based in Palo Alto, California, rose 13 5/16 to 89 7/8 on the New York Stock Exchange. Shares of Corning, New York-based Corning Inc. rose 5 7/8 to 187 3/4 on the NYSE. Avanex Corp. rose 7 to 97 and Ciena Corp. rose 7 13/16 to 137 1/4, both on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

Terayon, based in Santa Clara, California, rose 9 to 61 1/2, after Gilder noted that Adelphia Communications Corp., the No. 6 U.S. cable-TV provider, is using the company's modems. Coudersport, Pennsylvania-based Adelphia on Monday said it was using Terayon products.

Conexant Systems Inc., one of the biggest makers of chips for communications equipment, rose 3 5/16 to 43 15/16 on the Nasdaq.

Many of the companies are based in California, home to Silicon Valley.
