LRR, It looks like we, basically, agree but, if a parent " gives inadvertent access", there has been some sort of laxness in the responsibility to make sure the gun is not available for access. I happen to agree that trigger locks are a viable step in the right direction but, the banning of guns will not solve any part of the problem. Most people are not, but some people are, "unfit" to have guns. That will be the hardest nut to crack in order to determine who these people are. Stringent background checks would be of some help, but if someone buys a gun out of the trunk of a car, there is no check of any kind. ~H~
