Starvation is a bit off the subject but mostly it's brought about by the politics of government itself - those usually hellbent on milking the people they should be serving. Unless you want to rearrange the government, you can't forcefeed a nation. The Bible says, 'A sinner takes twice what he's offered'. What stops a government from taxing a person's soul, too? Go ahead and find an exception but it sure takes the fun out of being a good scout to see all your grain end up in the hands of the Marxist militia.

One disturbing side of inflation imo, is that the internet and technology in general was supposed to lower the price of real estate, nearly across the board. Remember the Robert Loggia commercial of setting up an e-business where the real estate was $3/sq ft vs $300/sq ft? Hundreds of thousands of homes throughout California and Washington have risen 25-40% over the last year and this phenominum is now spreading to very many metropolitan areas in the US. The CPI downplays real estate prices (in its place are apartment rental prices, I believe): The big question is whether AG prefers to own or rent. <g> It would also seem that the real test of the internet's efficacy is whether it creates accessibility without the location, location, location.
