BGR:

Well good luck to you with your calls. I was a very busy little bear this past week, closing out some short positions mid week, only to put some of them back on during late Thursday and Friday. The rallies just don't have any punch to them anymore.

I don't have any stomach for index trading, as I view it as an attempt to call the market psychology in general. Personally, I'd rather rely on research into the general economic state as well as individual companies.

Count me in the bearish camp as well for this summer. So far, it's been a delightful Vaderian spring and I think the bear really moves into gear as the profits continue to deteriorate, the accounting crud gets cleaned up and the economy slows as the consumer continues to pull in his horns. I also think the interest rates continue to move Northward, which has never been known to be nice to stocks.

We shall have to compare results as the summer progresses.

Best, Earlie
