What do you think that piece of crap masquerading as analysis is good for? Is it supposed to prove in any way that CDMA and its future direction is better than GSM and its future direction? First of all, it is paid for supposed research - without any definition of who paid for it and why. (And it is very obviously heavily biased toward CDMA). Second, its target is any first time network operator who is faced with the decision of which network to buy. Third, it makes it appear that the upgrade decision is the only relevant factor to consider. Fourth, it says nothing of a quantitative nature about upgrade paths; instead hiding behind qualitative bull-crap - we expect or it is expected, etc. Last, it doesn't say anything at all about what an existing operator's decision-making if he already has one technology or the other - the all-important switching costs at each step of the game. I would hope that even Q proponents would laugh at it.
