There is a world of difference between depressed and undervalued. The shares of precious metal companies have been depressed for years but are not undervalued. They are properly valued considering the context they are in (low gold price, low inflation, new technology...).

Companies that are just holding properties that have already been explored are victim of those fundamentals and will never recover unless there is a major change in fundamentals that are out of their control. But proactive companies that look for and explorer properties that can still be attractive in this environment can prosper. PFG is one of those with the Luicho property and FGX might also be one of those with Marlin.
