I see this Forbes piece is from 1997. Looks to me like it's gotten dicier than that.
How much would you lend to:

Amsterdam Funding
Beta Finance
Dorada Finance
Greyhawk Funding
International Securitization Corp.
Quincy Capital Corp.
Stellar Funding Group Inc.
Variable Funding Capital Corp.
Eureka Securitization Inc.Monte Rosa Capital Corp.
Windmill Funding

All "top rated" names. All from a reputable MM fund's schedule of investments. Any idea where to independently verify these folks' finances? I know S&P, Moody's, etc. like them, but they also liked WPPPS 4 & 5 up to the moment of their defaults. I doubt that they have the resources to check out every trade receivables and credit card receivables outfit on earth.
