TO ALL: DID ANYBODY GET A MARGIN CALL LAST WEEK ON ALSC:

The reason I'm asking is that TD WATERHOUSE changed thier margin requirement on ALSC from 30% to 60% OVERNIGHT.

I'm starting to believe that thier is a conspiracy agianst the small investor.

I also believe that some of wednesday selling pressure was due to this.

appreciate any thoughts.....

Armin,

An interesting postscript to the Orologic/Vitesse deal is that ALSC's preference was not to sell. They were looking for bigger things down the road, but apparently the Orologic people decided to take the money and run.

Though there is a tendency for many to take a short-term view and minimize the significance of the venture programs, I think ALSC views them strategically as important growth engines for the future.
