JCJ: Unbelievable that you feel your 1,000's or 10,000's spent on government waste are a better value than say Windows at 89 bucks. You bring all your other posts into serious question with this one. In fact you have just created a monstrous future credibility gap by such hyperbole. Nothing is so wasteful as our government outside of those banana republics we support. JFD

The real cost to me is how we as a nation are dumping this crap on our children. How much is it costing us to be teaching kids Powerpoint in place of TCP/IP networking? ---

You are a real twit. You'll say anything no matter how ridiculous. Two years ago I bought my daughter a SPARC station at great expense and guess what, she nags me because the files are not compatible with the wp program her friends are using. I'm still waiting but she has yet to understand TCP/IP networking well enough to be entitled to an after dinner snack. Frankly I'm at the point where I may buy her an Intel machine so I don't have to ruin her life by making her, a ninth grade high school'er go to bed at six o'clock each evening. Worst of all, tonight I have to give her a crash course in power point so she can at least get a C on the project that she was unable to collaborate with other students because of OS incompatibilities. I'll never take your advice again.

Without respect

Tom
