Oh yeah Gary, don't underestimate your statement in your post. 50 basis points next week and maybe again in June or August! Not only could, would and should that slow the economy down but it could actually throw the economy into a Recession! All the most recent Recessions have been caused by the Fed raising rates, so don't think that after these interest rates raises, the Market just resumes it's upward surge like nothing has happened! It takes a bit of time for these rate rises to sink in, and these last raises could be the "final blow"! Similar to "throwing a car in reverse while going 60mph!! If you think the engine is fine after that, think again!! Hell, I'm long but very cautious here!! I believe Greenspan is treading on some very thin water, and his somewhat "Lucky Run" could be coming to an end! Let's all hope he knows what he's doing here!!
