Schmandel - I can see you have been there. One of our team's key inputs to MSFT during the Win2K beta process was that the core libraries, and the systems components on which they depend, need to be stable (i.e. unchanged) from one rev to the next, if any kind of stability in an IT environment is to be maintained. There is some support for this in Win2K now, and "the next rev" is supposed to provide full DLL aliasing so that an IT shop can lock down key libraries. We'll see...
