Following a full year of drought, the wandering herd of
of weary Dell bulls has chanced upon an area of lush vegetation. Scouts sent ahead to survey a route to higher greener pastures report that bears who have plagued the herd by cutting out the weakened bulls traveling on the margins have vanished. There remains only a small but threatening band of Federales blocking the way to the promised land. A few brave bulls tentatively approach the Feds and have their noses burned by electric cattle prods.

Re Dell:
Dell is looking very strong here..
If not for the peak in Jan of 1999, we would be seeing a sequence of five higher highs and five higher lows.

One reason for that 1999 peak was an overloaded stagecoach caused by initiation of Dell coverage by 7 analysts from
Mar 26 to Oct 28 1998 and seemingly too many were encouraged to board the bandwagon.

Another plus is that Dell employees have got to be happy
in beating the earnings goals. Since tenured employees were granted a bonus of 200 shares each (in 1998 I believe) which have since split, and with the stock options plans, Dell
can soon have over 30,000 shareholders working for the company.
Having seen the results of winning here, (with a $5 price jump), I think morale is high and they will much encouraged to produce good work in the next two quarters with an upward stock price trend IF Mr Greenspan allows the market some freedom.
