Astute observation D. I think the confusion comes into play
when Q"s IPR is thrown into a pool by GSM ie; W-CDMA, weighing & dilution of the two., Like adding bleach to water in washing clothes. Q is the H20. <gg>

excellent post. qualcomm has been quite clear that it will receive the same royalty payments on every flavor of cdma, ie it will receive the same royalties whether a carrier chooses w-cdma or cdma2000. however, i believe qualcomm will make significantly more money on cdma2000 as it will also benefit from likely large asic sales.
