Gary - I don't know that much about her. About 20 years ago I was given one of her albums that had some good R&B on it.

After a quick search, it looks like you were right on in guessing she was part of the disco days; she had a #1 hit with "Don't Leave Me This Way" in 1977. No relation to Whitney that I could find (though I did discover that Whitney and Dionne Warwick are cousins).

Hard to believe but I've never seen "Saturday Night Fever". I'll have to now, especially after discovering that one of the supporting cast was Monte Rock III.
