stockbull, Kemble bases his financial forcast of Dell share price on a complex and deep analysis.

We have a bet. I said going in the door of the shareholder meeting Dell would be @ $60 he said $80 and the closest one gets a free meal.

P.S. I hope I buy him a burger.

:o)

Larry,
Hi!!

RE: <<80 by shareholders...>> If you don't mind my asking, what do you base this number on? Can you share your analysis with us?

Hey, I just get sick and tired of hearing all the negatives banged out on this thread....And, if they weren't enough we have "analysts" and fund managers that have lost almost everything that write about DELL during DELL's quiet period...So, I react with my usually private estimate of where DELL will be....I haven't been anywhere near correct in the last year so does it really matter? What has surprised me ...and hopefully won't continue to surprise me is the lack of knowledge that some investors have of what DELL is doing...And, I wish to place an emphasis on IS doing...For well over a year DELL has been banging announcements at us describing the new and very profitable areas that they are attempting to enter....I suppose if you took a looooong listen at their last NYC Conference you'd have understood that they feel quite confident of where they will be in a year or two...So, why 80 by shareholders?
1. I made this based on the comments of management and what I perceive will be the usual 6-9 months that the fund managers jump in ahead of the "street"....
a. I believe the new initiatives will be producing numbers and announcements from management going into the later stages of the second quarter that will "alert" just about anyone to the obvious market share DELL is gaining in these new areas....
b. Folks will see that the big money is really starting to flow and will join in or more significantly join back in....Joining back into DELL knowing what DELL did with their model for 3, 4,5 etc...years and once again saying..."ooooh sh...I should have stayed with DELL...They're using that model again and I'm not on the train"....Many left for the QCOM JDSU etc. and grew impatient while DELL was turning this company on a dime into these new areas....
c. More and more investors will understand the DELLVENTURES and the true significance of what this means to the earnings....Ask Patrick for the math... :o)
Please remember...I just cheat...
d. WEBHOSTING.....To quote James Schneider:
"The potential worldwide market in 2003 nearly triples to $1 Trillion from a $350 Billion market for hardware alone.
Imagine just having 10% of this extended market' what kind of company would it look like?"
And, I might add that I've heard that the opportunities here are so numerous...Take just the numbers given at the Conference Call last Thursday....2000 in the first 2 months!!!! Think of the "word that will be spread" over what DELL is doing for these small business' and what impact they are experiencing....I've been told that the DIRECT RELATIONSHIPS will be the key...and IMO it's a no brainer as to who has captured many many many real relationships over the last 10-15 years...
e. And, then there is CHINA which folks keep telling me is gonna be "so huge it is hard to place numbers on"....And, rumors float that Brazil and Central America will be big...INDIA may be 3 years behind CHINA...and I can remember what the first announcements did to the PE and price of this stock when they first started bouncing CHINA off the investors...
f. EUROPE....Hey, if DELL makes an announcement let's say June 1st that "EUROPE is ahead of our projected % for the year" Well, I'll let you place a number on the price of the stock when that comes through...You say: "How do you guarantee that Europe will return to DELL overall 30%+ for this year?" Good question...But, I go with what leadership there is...And, I've written a number of times that Paul Bell has been rumored to be a winner everywhere he has gone and it is possible that he volunteered for the position.....Folks have told me he is very driven and gets results...So, As always...I'm optimistic...But, let's face it...If Europe rocks back this year...Tell me where the price will move on that alone? :o)
g. SERVERS....If DELL gets into the SUNW market...and, Michael has told us that now is "GROUND ZERO" Yet, "CPQ IS IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR AND I'M MUCH MORE FOCUSED ON SUNW"....I believe any analyst making comments that DELL is shooting a position into the previously strong hold of SUNW and produces evidence that DELL's continued growth of less expensive Intel-based server systems as an alternative to SUNW and its proprietary, high powered Unix-based servers (which originally enjoyed the early internet market) is giving way to DELL....Well, This IMO will really move the stock...Although I don't expect this that soon ...

2. Michael says: "2000 WILL BE SUPER FOR DELL"...

3. Larry...As always...I'm bullish...and the real reason I see DELL @80 by shareholders? I want that cheap skate Patrick McDaniel to have to pay for that steak dinner...
:o)

Best, Kemble
