I don't think there is any reason to assume that RDRAM will outperform SDRAM on most benchmarks in an apples-to-apples comparison. Tom's benchmarks indicated quite the contrary.

Actually that's a good point. I keep forgetting about that. BX at 133 MHz with PC-133 Cas-2 SDRAM beat Rambus in majority of the tests.

I wonder if there is such a thing as CAS-2 DDR-266. It should work better than SDR, so maybe it should beat RDRAM in all the tests. I hope we will get higher quality chipsets in the near future than what we have seen from Via until now, to make Athlon and DDR-266 shine.
