I'll be glad to see the III's shipping, but only when they're available in quantity and without any snags. I'm pretty sure Sun management is in a better position to pick the right date than am I. <g>

So you would expect Sun to come out and admit UltraSparc III
is really late and they need to get on the stick?? Come on now. Sun's credibility is at an all time high and ANYTHING they say at this point will be unquestionably accepted. It's the opposite for IBM. But perceptions can change over time and the longer Sun delays the release allowing IBM to grab headlines and perhaps some market share, the less invincible Sun will appear.I don't see how this could be good.
