<< I guess the trend is to the warm side, at least a lot of people keep saying it is. The adamantine tone of these people is where the suspicion lies. They never allow for solar variability in their equations. Suppose things are heating up, why is that necessarily a problem? Wouldn't we have longer growing seasons? That would help feed the world. And my house in western Connecticut would become beachfront property. >>

You might be guessing on whether global warming is happening, but the scientists use empirical data, and they conclude by a vast majority that it is happening. The only debate is if it is natural or not, and what should be done about it. If we wait for certainty in the answers, it may be too late to do anything about it.

How did you determine that they don't allow for solar variability? In fact they do, and have allowed for that.

I can assure you that if your property in Connecticut becomes beach front property, the rest of the world would have a huge problem.

<< The planet has been getting warmer since the time of Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates. Brackish water hasn't had a hard freeze in Holland since the turn of the century. Human
activity is most likely not the cause of the warming trend. >>

How did you determine that human activity is not the cause of global warming? Apparently you have some special insight that the scientists could really use. You need to educate them, and set them straight. I hate to see them wasting their time.
