Actually, although not a gun owner myself, and viscerally wary of guns, I have become convinced that you are right, that the demogogic attack on guns, and the failure to see the underlying principle, is dangerous. If the right of self- defense is not respected, all other rights are in jeopardy.

By the way, in a similar manner, the core reform issue of the McCain campaign was an attack on the Constitution. Soft money funds issue advocacy, which is the fundamental reason for freedom of speech and press. To ban or severely restrict soft- money is an attack on the 1st amendment.....
