Big Dog - PDE, probably a great play, but I'd rather play lagging NG E&P plays (EEX, BSNX, THX, FST) for my near term appreciation goals and lagging OSX plays for my long term portfolio. I'd rather be early to SEI at 7 1/2 than buy PDE at 26+ a 52 week high. Both have similar earnings estimates for 2001, don't know about 2002, but I would imagine by then the seismic business will be ramping up again in a big way too.

Granted SEI might have accounting issues and it's smaller but at 1/3 the price and still near a 52 week low SEI is my choice. SEI is only 4% of my portfolio though. When in doubt put up less capital.

I'm using about half my margin here. I think a 50 basis increase is already factored in. The market is waiting more direction on further rate hikes than this one. I will trim completely off margin again though into any post Fed rally.

Well Bigster, PKD is knock, knock, knockin' today. Is this the day? Why not?

Love is a beautiful thing, it can be found anywhere. Even in a drilllah.
