Hence, with rumors that Europe may allow any flavor of 3G, I think close attention should be paid to Vodofone.

If ETSI allows CDMA2000 in Europe, I'd expect a press release shortly thereafter regarding CDMA2000 and VOD. The citizens of Europe would benefit greatly.

Pierre - VOD if anyone in Britain (and also in Europe) would be the one with M&M ( motive and muscle) to go for a CDMA2000 flavor.

I believe they have tried in the past to get a trial at 400Mhz but that may have been for CDMAone.

If VOD started deploying -2000 it would blow its competition away and so they would all use -2000. You can bet your last $ that NOK/ERICY will pull out all the stops to prevent any deployment of 2000 as against W- and these smaller countries carry a lot of clout in the Common Market because their votes are for sale. Don't bet against them.
