<<btw, did you know that ie5.0 (and perhaps other versions too, but i'm just using 5.0) allows you to set it so that the temp int folder is emptied each time you close the browser? yep. the only thing is, it doesn't dump the cookies, just the temp files. but that's still a plus, imo!>>

Is there any reason we should keep those temporary internet files? I'm modern computer stupid, and the last thing I want to do is delete something I may need sometime in the future,...got raised by wartime parents, and still saving glass jars, tin cans, plastic bags and containers,...everytime I throw something out, a week later I discover a use for it (ggggggggggggggggg).

mr. mark,

I still get a confirmation box for each file.

No big deal, really. Just a PITA to click yes, however many times, in rapid succession.

thanks mr. mark for mentioning the "empty temporary internet files folder when browser is closed" box.

I've found it and checked it.

Also thanks for link to Windows 'Update for "scriptlet.typelib/Eyedog" Vulnerability (x86).
I downloaded and ran the setup. Not sure what all is happening or will or won't happen, but apparently, Im not vulnerable to this 'eyedog' thingy. (a "security hole...created by a flaw in an Explorer ActiveX control called scriptlet.typelib")
