I guess the million dollar question is .. How difficult and how demanding
on EMC resources would it be for EMC to broaden its NAS product line?
Not expecting an answer, but, IMO that is the question?

Apparently, you feel EMC will not be able to
respond to NTAP offerings competitively.

From my justnow beginning DD, BRCD seems even more interesting than NTAP.
It could become the ubiquitious CSCO in the storage arena, while NTAP is the GTW to EMC's IBM.
