re: Greenspan doesn't really quibble with the wealth effect: He may have created it, by adding liquidity in the last several years, whenever it looked like risk-loving investors might lose money. But, from all his public statements (what else can I go on?) he realises it's gone too far. I think what he'd like is a long period of sideways stock movement, so earnings can catch up. What he's getting is steadily increasing volatility, leading to.......
