Do you have ATHM to your PC? If so, how do you like it?
Yes, and I can't remember how I could stand the Internet before I had a cable modem. Nothing available now could pry me away from ATHM.

FWIW...

A little anecdotal commentary...

Today I had the Comcast Cable tech out to my residence to chase a small lightning strike related problem with my cable service, he informed me that my former cable service provider, (Suburban Cable), located in the Phila. suburbs, has been responsible for extensive fiber installations in this area, and that is one of the main reasons Comcast purchased them... said comcast has been going out of it's way to purchase existing fiber networks...

He also mentioned that the majority of this area has already had the fiber "trunks" installed, and that ATHM service and cable modems will be available in about 4 months. I live about 20 miles outside Phila, in the fastest growing county in the state.

The guy said he was military trained in communications and was certified to work on existing PECO (Phila. electric) and ATT systems and all fiber systems, and he also performed the modem installations and PC upgrades necessary to complete service installation in my home. He said that there was not an ATHM customer install system available here that he was aware of...

He seemed pretty informed and intelligent, BWDIK? <ggg> He did fix the line problem quickly and efficiently...

and he said ATHM broadband cable services, and internet related cable services in general will dominate DSL service in the foreseeable future. He was pretty excited about it.
