We need Firmage!!
Where are you Joe??
"In 1995, Novell decided to sell its rights to Unix, which Firmage
thought was a terrible idea. "They had a wondrous opportunity with
their Unix operating system," he says. "Novell owned the rights to
Unix, which, today, ultimately runs the Internet. And 60 days after
Netscape went public, Novell decided to sell its rights to Unix. I
thought that was an insane decision and, therefore, I decided to
leave. I was not optimistic about the prospects for Novell. And, of
course, between then and now, it's taken a long, long time for Novell
to even start to look like a turnaround."

Juicey Fruit!

And to this day they are still screwing up!!!

Mark.....

I've never met Firmage, but he's on the right track.

All you have to do is reorient your mindset and begin to relearn the value of RISK to understand the radically massive empowering energy which he's feeling and trying to share with others.

>>But Firmage insists he's not a martyr, nor a cult leader (in an interview with USA Today, he said, "Someone said I'm trying to become the next L. Ron Hubbard," referring to the founder of Scientology. "I don't know of any comment that could be less appealing."). He says he's simply trying to spread some of the inspiration he's found to others, so that they will change their lives to better all of humanity. The outcomes include an end to consumer behavior that strains natural resources and the empowerment of individuals to become independent of the "system.">>

The "system??"

Yes, there's a "system" and it's power is maintained by all of us. Again, KISS: mindset.

Forget about L. Ron Hubbard and references to cults, etc. The way to test any message for truth is to hold it up and see if there is ANY evidence of possessiveness - ie. anything/anywhere/anytime which is trying to advance a personal agenda at the expense of the time, trust and energy of others.

Cults are black holes which feed on people by training them to ideologically isolate themselves in ways which feed off the energy of others.

Ask some simple questions: 1) is energy being created? 2) is there love, forgiveness, compassion?

>>"A lot of people ? in fact most people ? don't know where that inspiration can come from. And what has replaced a God in their life is consumerism. How much do we worship the dollar? Think about that," he says. "There is a load we are placing on strained, limited natural resources. It's a very fragile planet. And unless we wake up and start to realize a different way of life, a more ecologically sound way of life ? frankly, a slower-paced life ? I very much fear for the survival of this species. And that sounds like a remarkable, bold statement. But it's also absolutely true.>>

Like Joy, Firmage is expressing paranoia, something all of us are guilty of feeling from time to time. Yes, the forces of consumerism - with all the attention distracting outlets/tools/services from media, print to cable, etc. - place an incredible pounding force on the INDIVIDUAL in his/her attempt to find/discover true meaningful core "value" in life.

Let's face a simply reality. We live in a vortex of negative energy for our society has been demanding more and more of it.

Personally, I think the tide is shifting. And we can thank this Internet Spirit. And this is nothing to laugh at. It's as real as the words I'm sharing in this forum: Novell = New. What a concept!

I "see" and "feel" a remarkable resurgence of positive energy and light radiating all over the world. And no I haven't been visited by UFOs or aliens, but yes I "can" believe in anything for it's just up to the faith of each individual. I have had my own personal experiences with different examples which I don't need to share with this board.

If we could just understand one thing: we all are connected to one another. Period. From this KISS understanding a massive worldwide radiating force of goodwill, light and positive energy CAN change the world!!

If you don't believe this, then just keep you boat behind that dam that's already lost all of its water. But be sure to step aside and allow others to take their boats into this New River of Life.

>>Talk to any biologist with a good set of credentials and they'll tell you exactly the same thing: The world is headed for disaster. If we're not smart enough and we're not courageous enough to look ourselves in the mirror and say, here's what we look like, here's what were doing, than we deserve to die in an ecological disaster.">>

Tough words, but very true.

This guy is placing his stake in the ground.

Come on Mark!

Where's your stake?

Do you want to remain behind various dams - ie. the "system" which takes your energy while fooling you into thinking this is just the way is "has to be"?

Even if you do get out from behind these dams, do you have the guts, belief, trust and faith to "let go" and risk jumping into this New River.

This stuff is very real Mark.

Challenge me. I'm ready.

BUT.....my hands are not clenched. And you can smack me all you want.

Peace.

GO!!

NOTE: For those who feel this post is inappropriate for this board, I'm sorry. Just know that whatever frustration or anger you feel over the way I express myself is "yours" -ie. you create it, possess it, maintain it. I have no personal interest in channelling negative energy by taking your anger/frustration and using it to advance a personal cause. I am sharing these ideas because I believe the ultimate "technology" is really between our ears. How we think determines what technology we create. I firmly believe the collective mindset and thinking of the world needs to radically change for their to be radical, massive positive change. And I am just wacky, bold and courageous enough to truly believe this IS all very possible.
