As I ready for my trip down to the Weston hotel to vote for the last time on a Newbridge issue I can not help but think of the many friends I have made on the SI thread and the people who have given so much of themselves to help all of us understand the items and issues that have gone on with the company. I would just like to list several people who I feel have given of themselves for the greater good. John Messbauer started the thread in 96?Mephisto always had insight?Len Grasso a great guy who kept it loose?Nick Cash's analysis of the company's position relative to the market?Chris Stovin a strong supporter of the company?Herb Duncan was one of the contributors in the early years of NN on SI?Pat Mudge who can only be referred to as the Queen of the NN SI thread for several years her insight, intelligence and thought provoking posts have benefited us all, I am fortunate to count her as a friend? Ian Stromberg who always paddled his own canoe?Peppe who was always there and ready for a good argument?Zbyslaw has defended the company's position for many years another friend I have made from SI?and to others like Serge, MD, Larry, Doug, Rob Riordon and so many more. Good luck to all.

And to Terry Matthews, board of directors, great people over at IR, senior management and the employees of the company thank you all. Alcatel will be the better for the purchase of Newbridge. I intend to become a shareholder of our new "Grand FrŠre".

Regards,
Glenn

P.S. With 18,000 NN post I am sure that a few people have been left out and for that I apologize.
