tekboy: Just a bit more on careful choice up front and then not selling unless:

need the money for personal reasons

better opportunities elsewhere (opportunity cost)

or

fundamentals change.

As you know my style is the mirror image of Mike's on buying, I find the technology, the stock and buy asap. No waiting around for me.

And I have made many more mistakes waiting than going in.

But that is in the context of knowing the technology - the sine quo non as far as I am concerned.

Now, one small point re Mike's sell if the stock is too big a percentage of your holdings due to "momentum players". Very dubious of that. For the Q, anytime last year before Dec 10 that would have been simply wrong.

And of course avoiding kings such as JDSU is another difference in "approach" between Mike and I.

But he is my balance wheel, and I am his (sometimes) agent.

We agree on much more than we disagree on.

But to each his own.

Sleeping at night is the key.

Best.

Tek, it was a freebie but if I get weak in the knees again I
will certainly feel obligated to pay some sort of hefty fee for the next session<g>. Even though it took two sessions I do believe I'm cured. Ready for whatever Greenhead throws our way.

PS: I sent an email to the Federal Reserve promising Greenie that if he goes only a 1/4 pt today I would not take any of my investment gains and go spending it in the economy like a drunken sailor and I also promised to layoff 10% of my employees on wensday(figured he really like that one). Lets see if he goes for it.
