There is a reason that they call themselves fools. I find them completely annoying to read.....sort of like the Dummys books or the For Idiots books. Stop trying to be so freakin cutsey and spit it out man!

So the straw poll regarding whether or not we were going to dump the stock today was correctly answered. The analysis of Excite@Home continues on our excellent @Home discussion board.

Subject: Poll: Will RB port drop ATHM Monday?

Question says it all.
13% (12 Votes)
Yes

87% (83 Votes)
No

<<In all those words did that guy say to buy or sell? Why bother posting such garbage?>>

The guy said neither. It appears that 87% of the posters decided to hold the stock. David Gardner's write up seemed reasonable to me. I have read a lot more garbage on this board than the post you have complained about (including some stuff you and I have written). <g>

BTW, The links to the above info is in the original story.

In all those words did that guy say to buy or sell?

Neither, offering an opinion on selling or buying was not his intention.

As promised last week, and to wrap up our Excite@Home (Nasdaq: ATHM) series, I wanted today to answer the simple question, "Should we continue to hold our shares of Excite@Home?"

Why bother posting such garbage?

One man's trash is another's treasure. According to their methodology he was articulating his observations, knowledge and lack thereof (honest at least) pertaining to E@home. The Fool is interesting in that any 'low life mortal' may question the management and expect answer or reply and He was responding to numerous inquires regarding ATHM. You have stated that the market and chasing money is hell. They at least add a human quality to the landscape.

He still holds ATHM and that is noteworthy in my book.

Jack, he was not necessarily downing ATHM, but elaborating a position they observe for their portfolio regarding down stocks. His stance does not sound far from the one you stated to me this weekend...you are waiting for management to prove worthy of your dollars.

Aren't we all sour on many things regarding this stock and company yet still cautiously optimistic that it will overcome the difficulties? I am or I would not have hung in the breeze for so long. The story is just too good.

Motley Fools got lucky with 2 stocks, namely AOL and AMZN. Their other picks have either paced the NASDAQ or lagged behind. Motley Fools are a good source lately for contrarian plays (CRA, ATHM, SBUX, to name a few).
