Software compatible is what I have heard. I don't have a source link. Perhaps not hardware compatible.

Compatible in the same way a slot-connected Pentium is compatible with a socket-connected Pentium +/-. I doubt anybody would want to start replacing chips in their Enterprise Sun system, anyway, if that's what you're suggesting.

BTW, if that's what you ARE suggesting, then you're showing your ignorance, IMHO.
