Tim re <<How much clout and reputation does Kumar have? >>

He along with Osha are probably only second to Dan Niles. He used to be at the very top after Kurlak left but since then, I think, Dan Niles has overtaken the top spot by making some SO VERY good calls on Dell. Niles has also been good with AMD, INTC, CPQ and GTW.

How much clout and reputation does Kumar have? (In the investment community in general I know he has no clout here...)

Tim,

He's makes himself very visible but I don't think he has much clout...at least not as much as he thinks.

Right now the big powerhouse in the PC/Semi world is Dan Niles. He's made a number of right on the mark calls.

The funny thing is: believe it or not, if Kumar throws out a strong buy, AMD should run up much more than Klauer's buy rating.

CNBC talking heads would have a great story: the last bear of AMD stock is forced to turn bullish!
