Tony, obvious pain in your recent posts.

I feel sad that you have to endure this ordeal.

Integrity is truly a black and white kind of thing...
either you're in or you're out.

You've admitted that in your past you were out of integrity. For those that are holding grudges and spitting venom, ask yourself, how does someone who is out of integrity come back into integrity with himself? This is not an impossible task.

My personal belief is that integrity is a personal issue, and as such I will not judge you Tony.

I do have a serious personal question to ask you...
is it your previous personal lack of integrity that causes you to be "more sensitive" to scams and other thievings as played out on the stock markets?

I enjoy your thread, and regardless of your integrity status, I have learned a lot from you.

Take care, do what you have to do, and I'll wait for your return (I know you're not leaving yet, but I'm thinking ahead). My life is definitely less interesting without you at the helm of this column.

Make some lemonade, enjoy your time off.
Ray

Keep a stiff upper lip in whatever abuse comes your way. Deny any malicious person your encounter in the coming months from robbing you of your dignity.

When Anthony was kicked off SI and they started the thread to decide whether to let him back in, I wrote to support him. Not because I care for A@P, or thought his posts were constructive or mature or appropriate, but because ideas should stand or fall on their own, not because of the person behind them.

As a criminal defense lawyer, I have heard the outpouring of feelings about sentenced defendant that I read here over and over again. It's remarkable how the emotions make the same sounds in every case, with every family and friends repeating the complaints about the system.

Anthony lived by the sword. How many were named "crims" by him on this very thread. Over the next few months, he will remember them, each of them, accused by him and castigated by his followers, and think how it feels to be so easily labelled.

People do things that are wrong. They get caught, they get punished. They survive them. The sentencing guidelines are harsh. Too harsh. They were meant to be by a society with a bloodlust to hurt criminals. This is true for all defendants, not just Anthony. I am sorry that any individual has to suffer the retribution of a harsh society, including Anthony. But perhaps this is a lesson for all the people here who are so quick to judge, so quick to label, and so harsh in their judgment. Anthony lived by the sword, and will die by the sword. Too many people here, had they not been supporters of Anthony, would have tossed him to the lions without a second thought.

Good luck Anthony. You will survive. And I hope the experience will prove helpful.

Tony,
You have been my teacher, guide and mentor for over a year and I thank you for it. And I admire you for your mature acceptance of your sentence.

Once when I was far younger and in love with life, I was in the Air Force and faced a year at a remote AF facility in Alaska. After hearing many horror stories and being a southerner, I viewed that assignment as worse than a prison sentence. Somewhere, I came across a story about a tough old con and he made a statement that really helped my attitude. He stated in reference to solitary confinement, "I can stand on my head for a year".

Changed me completely and so I went and had a blast (at least part of the time).:o)

Take care and God bless you and your family. TTT

Good-Luck Anthony.I am very sorry you were chosen to be held accountable for something you did wrong.Bad luck I guess, because there are many that are not chosen. At least you can say your's are lessons learned, because you have been punished, others that have not been chosen continue, and those are the one's that are a real threat to society.Make sure you have someone post a mailing address to keep you occupied with news,it will make the time fly.

ps.
are you still holding CPVD
sorry,I had to ask.

Dear Anthony, I have read the board for the past 24 hours and what I am stunned by is the out pour of sympathy, the applauds, the accolades.

You people are truly out of your mind. You praise Anthony for "taking it like a man" placing him on a pedestal as if he were a God. This man committed a federal crime and damn well should be held accountable. The comparison to Hillary Clinton is ludicrous unless of course you are delusional. Anthony is a thief no better than a car jacker, drug dealer or burglar and you excuse him.

His excuse it happened years ago, doesn't prove reform but reveals a track record. His statement "he grew up too fast" is laughable, if you were a young adult, you did NOT act nor take responsibility as an adult. I only hope that you have a more positive effect on your children.

Anthony has scammed investors (resulting in permanent suspension of his brokers license), he willingly committed fraud, taking advantage of an insurance company and finally, perhaps a charity and the people that willing gave to that cause (a federal investigation continues questioning the collection of charitable donation not fully received by Mother Tereza foundation, also questioning the validity of receipts) Isn't that why there is a pending law suit between you and Matt Tyson for misappropriations of charitable funds?

Anthony did you think CASHING the insurance checks would not hurt others? Did you cash them with a clear conscience? Were LAWS made for you to ignore?

I find this post very amusing!

I think it is common knowledge that I am a huge benfit to society, and a real threat to scammers and crims far and wide.... The record speaks for itself!
*******
Yes indeed the record speaks for itself you are delusional if you believe you are a benefit! The Judge would argue with your statement as well!

You are all blinded by greed yourselves if you support a man who's true motivation is to sidestep LAWS for profit, drink the koolaid if you wish you all deserve the after taste.

The ego of a man tends to be his worse enemy and more importantly his downfall.
