I am from as hardscrabble a background as any... And it shows. Like 'reformed' alcoholics, 'quit' smokers, and 'born again' Christians, those who think they are better than others because of their experiences are the hardest to deal with on a rational level. If there is anyone here who is expressing class prejudices, it is you... Well, shucks. Maybe you scored a point. I object to "class" distinctions. Especially those, like you are enamored of, that reflect an aristocratic point of view. Ok, I admit it. I am severely prejudiced against aristocracy and "titles of royalty." Gosh, golly gee, chalu, isn't there something about that in the constitution? ...object to asking someone what their ethnic group is... Only after making a HUGE point of your superiority as someone who knows the results of the Holocost. Don't play that game with those of us who watched the discussion develop. You IMPLIED that you were Jewish or that you had close Jewish affiliations. The question to confirm was not only reasonable, it was sympathetic to your position. But then you snarled like a beast and spun it around to attack the questioner as a bigot. Very Klintonian. You prove your "virtue" by humiliating someone. Deceit. Obfuscation. Your trademark. I am for the underdog, and always have been... Well, gosh, golly gee, chalu. Ain't we all proud of you. You must be a really fine person. I bet you give a dime to every one of the bums you see on the street. That way, they can start their own investment accounts and retire from bumhood in luxury. "Let them eat cake," is another way of saying it. You, sir, are an arrogant ... ahem. Libertarians, as I understand, are a bit more inclined to not only let people live as they wish, but to help them succeed. Want to help an underdog? Bet on the Mets.
