This is called momentum analysis. One takes a data point and takes it to an extreme. I hear every day that the Fed. is going to raise rates to the end of next year. Give me a break. I mean, who knows? But the fact that these talking heads are taking that extreme position leads one to trade on this perception knowing there will be times ahead when the new era is back in fashion for a time. When you again hear that the Fed. is done from these folks then it is time to sell your longs.
