Alot of firms which used to cater exclusively to institutional accounts are after the individual investor.There are reasons for this including less dependence on a limited number of accounts.If a 10 figure or larger account pulls out it is painful.Multiple thousands of smaller accounts are far less likely to exit at once.If you're a broker would you want 10 million plus accounts or 100 $100,000 accounts?Course you want both.A larger customer base adds cushion;remember I've fallen and can't get up?
