End User Group Should Self-Launch.....

>>Until Novell forms an end user group for its end user products it isn't going to succeed. It will continue to suffer from the well known problem of technology in search of a market.>>

Paul:

(NOTE: Since Paul says he's blanked out my posts, could someone please copy/paste this?)

What are you waiting for??

Form your OWN Novell End User Group/Network!!

If you are selflessly committed to NOT using it to advance YOUR agenda, then this group should flourish.

How about Fred Smart?

Sure, why not!

For anyone and everyone who believes/trusts that WE can pull this thing off, I hereby would like to proclaim - informally - the start of the....

hmmmmm.........

....how about....."RedEnd Users Group"

Since the water is now all gone, there are a thousand boats stranded behind the Old Novell dam. Novell has ZERO choice but to acknowledge that their past mindset/culture has not generated the right energy, passion and excitement to attract the time and trust of End Users.

Paul's right: too much technology stuck behind a dam, fearfully in search of a market trapped inside a closed culture that doesn't believe in letting any of these boats navigate down or upstream.

Stay by the dam. Don't go too far. Let these other folks cater to "end users."

"For the fact is that our business model is really a political model: ie. those that survive are required to protect the facade that keeps the water behind the dam so our political turbines can monitize more money which we, hopefully can use to build more dams or perhaps protect the dam we have in the hopes that we can somehow make it higher so it can restrict/retain more water so we can monitize the time and trust of more hapless engineers who believe/think/trust we will eventually "let go" and "give up" to allow this wonderfully potentially empowering revolution to launch itself."

NOT!!!

I've said it before and I will say it again: Novell's takeover is happening silently, effortlessly in the form of more individuals being empowered to trust themselves with the belief that they CAN make a massive/radical positive difference in the world.

As we all shared a year ago, Novell's future is "out there" among the Scott Lemons, Peter Strifas's, ToySoldiers and Paul Fiondellas of the world.

Novell has been successfully "communitized."

The power has shifted.

I can "see" and "feel" more and more engineers learning the value of extending trust out in the world - reclaiming their personal energy and power in the process.

I can "see" and "feel" more and more Novell employees standing up for their rights and saying "I want this....I want that.....I want more respect, trust, openness and flexibility."

Even the term "employee" is being radically/massively challenged.

For the world is transforming away from power/control/fear paradigms where money was both a carrot and stick to this New Age where this "new" paradigm of truth/openness/trust is transcending money/power/control/fear.

Ironically, this IS the REAL Love Bug that won't just "go away" and "move on."

Come on Eric.

Are you reading these posts?

Do you believe building dams, maintaining restrictions, blockages, boundaries, fear, politics, power and control are really the tools to motivate people in this New Age?

Personally, I don't think you are that type of individual. I think you came to Novell to start a revolution, not simply ber part of maintaining/protecting some political cast/class.

Novell's future will be a function of the level of trust, energy, risk, and service it catalyzes, empowers, supports and shares with the rest of the world.

I believe the Old Horse is DEAD.

This doesn't mean that all these people have to leave or get fired. It just means they have to move their time, trust, skills, tools, services and verticals out and away from being stuck behind this power/control political dam and into the RIVER of light and energy which is driving the Internet.

The world needs Novell's underlying core technology.

Novell needs to learn the value of humbly risking, helping and serving others.

Someone needs to step out of the crowd and announce this change in mindset, change in direction, change in value and belief system.

And if that "someone" happens to be ME then so beit.

I am happy to take on this role.

For I DO BELIEVE this community and the underlying technology CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!!!

Try me Eric.

Anyone want to test this belief?

I'm in the River. Who wants to join me!

I'm ready.

Peace.

GO!!

NOTE: If you are rolling your eyeballs I'm sorry. This energy behind this stuff is very real and I will not apologize for wanting to share it with others.

For as the energy behind this New Age really begins to gather steam - which it is really beginning to do - there will be no turning back. For those who DO NOT jump, let go and give up now it will just become harder and harder to accept/understand the power behind this model.

For it's an empowered trust/energy/risk model which is infectious once you "get it".

We are going to be addressing this issue in a positive way, but I can't say more than that.
