Until the companies confirm it, the risk is higher so the discount is wider. Traders decided they could risk a 20-point drop if the deal is not announced but not a 35-point drop.

The herd rules until firm info is out. If you want to take the risk, you have a free 15 points sitting on the table to be made.

Hi Captain

The deal is a stock deal - not a cash deal. Therefore, they are not paying the LCOS holders 100 a share. The price is determined by the value of stock.
