Online auctioneer eBay Inc. said Tuesday it will use SUN
MICROSYSTEMS INC. ( 87-5/16, up 3-5/8 @1 0:52 am et) to supply it
with servers, software, storage and professional services. A
definitive agreement between the two companies is expected in the
next several weeks, the companies said in a statement. Terms for
the deal were not disclosed. The eBay site is built around Sun
Enterprise servers and Sun StorEdge storage devices. The largest
provider of computers that run the Internet is also helping eBay's
technicians to design its architecture.
