Rose, you can do everything except sell puts in your retirement plan ( RRSP ). You can sell CCs, buys calls and buy puts. The CDN government will not allow you to sell puts, because of the liability in the RRSP. However, make sure you are signed up to buy calls and puts, then you can position your self better during the up and down turns,

A big "high five" to us (so far) on our ELON buys yesterday, yes?

I bot some JDSU 02 leaps and Dec 00 calls on NTAP this a.m. -- thx to RR's posts yesterday ... got me moving ... appreciate. New (long) positions both for me.
