Clairmont,

Anything can happen but I'd be very surprised if Nokia bought Qualcomm. If they did that, they'd need to sell to their competition. Selling to your competition is sometimes done in the spirit of co-opetition but it's not ideal. One of the main reasons Lucent was spun off was because it eliminated having to sell to the competition.
