I think AMSC is a really interesting opportunity, especially in light of problems with the electric grid here in the US.

...not for the reasons one would expect like better wire, more efficient motors, etc, which are certainly promising. AMSC has some offerings that help stabilize power distribution, and prevent brown-outs.
