Heinz, the market has rarely worried about trade deficits. However, I am noting strong upticks and sizable block trades today in HM...and the break out in the CRB chart. since the FOMC hawks are concerned about inflation, I am wondering if this will be a focal point.

In looking at the gold futures chart, it would seem that only an "event" whether it be currency related, commodity related, or socially related is going to move gold. Yet, the upticks in HM and the wedge patterns in the longer term charts, suggest that at some point, soon, volatility may indeed return to this market.
