Re: "I am thinking about selling some of my shares to get into more options since I am currently maxed out in both stock and Jan and July options. What do you think (I think I already know your answer)?"

Comment: As I've stated before, I can't imagine why anyone would let go AMD shares at a price less than $120...My worst case scenario for AMD includes a $150 price by Dec. 31, 2000...My best case is $150 by July 31, 2000...Within either of those scenarios, there is definitely room for call options...Consequently, I remain 100% in call options...At $120, I will reassess my AMD portfolio mix of shares to call options...

Ed,

Re: trading shares for options

If you are thinking of doing that, why didn't you do it when AMD were down at 80 a couple of weeks back? That was a golden opportunity to increase your leverage in this way.

Not sure about the timing right now. You want to catch AMD at a trough unless you are going for options that are far out of the money.
