What a bunch of gobbeldy goop..taking a 480 milliopn dollar debt and adding it to the credit line is ..colorful baloney...

The bottom of the line is that QCOM is owed this money anyway so increasing the credit line to 530 mill from 100 million is bogus ,,cause see They have already spent the money..and dont havee use of this extra cash...

Lets see QCOM or anyone actully plop down a coupld hundred mill in hard csah...or better yet lets see someone pay dowqn some of GSTRF's debt.

VANCOUVER, May 12 /CNW/ - Glentel Inc., a leader in integrated satellite solutions, has been selected to supply the communications system for the Alliance pipeline. Glentel will engineer, install and maintain the communication system that will link field personnel from anywhere along the length of the pipeline with the control centers located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Calgary, Alberta. To ensure reliability in this vital communications link, the system will be satellite-based and interfaced with conventional 2-way radio to insure both in- and out-of-vehicle communication. The system is designed to insure the safety of the pipelines operations, Alliance staff, and nearby communities.
Art Droulis, Vice President of Glentel's Business Services Group, stated that the Alliance project is a significant step in Glentel's overall growth and that it represents several firsts. ``The cross-border project will allow Glentel to build a base of operations in the US that will give us a springboard into other opportunities in the American market. The project is the first time that Glentel's satellite dispatch service has been deployed by a major corporation as an alternative to building expensive terrestrial facilities. The Alliance project is the first large-scale deployment of Glentel's cross band repeater product that allows terrestrial radios to be integrated with satellite dispatch.''
The Alliance pipeline is 3,700 km (2,300 miles) long, running from Chicago, Illinois to Fort St John, BC, Canada. The pipeline will have an initial throughput of 37.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day and will operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
Glentel is one of Canada's leading business and personal wireless integrated solution providers. It operates over 240 antenna sites in Canada, 11 Glentel wireless business centres, and 16 wireless retail stores, integrating products and services utilizing mobile two-way radio, dispatch, data, satellite, paging, cellular and PCS to meet the needs of a broad range of customer applications. Glentel is an authorized dealer for Cantel AT&T, Fido (Microcell), Clearnet PCS, Clearnet MIKE network, Motorola two-way radio, MSAT and Globalstar.
